About the Role
Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) is seeking a highly skilled Finance professional with experience in financial research and advisory to join our team in Indonesia. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in helping build IIX’s presence and business in Indonesia with banks, financial institutions, and other stakeholders in the sustainable finance ecosystem
Key Responsibilities
Market Analysis and Business Development Support
- Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, market conditions, and factors affecting sustainable finance innovation and adoption to develop IIX’s client and partner base in Indonesia with the private sector, government, and development agencies
- Provide expertise in impact investing, ESG integration, sustainable finance, and thematic bonds to guide IIX’s business development efforts and ongoing projects.
Investment and Sustainable Finance Solutions
- Work closely with stakeholders, such as investors, development finance institutions (DFIs), and banks & local financial institutions, to provide input, help deepen engagement, and design sustainable finance solutions
- Support the structuring of innovative financial instruments that align with gender-lens investing, climate finance, and social impact objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with government agencies and private sector partners to promote sustainable finance practices in Indonesia
- Develop and deliver research, advisory, and capability-building programs for project partners, focusing on ESG, thematic bonds, and impact investing
KPIs
- Market Research & Business Development: Conduct in-depth market analysis and contribute to expanding partnerships in Indonesia.
- Sustainable Finance Solutions: Engage with financial institutions and design innovative financial instruments aligned with impact investing and ESG.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with government and private sector partners to promote sustainable finance.
- Advisory & Capacity Building: Deliver high-quality research, training, and advisory programs on ESG, impact investing, and thematic bonds.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of proven experience in financial management, impact investing, or sustainable finance, preferably in an AMC, bank, or consultancy environment
- Expertise in ESG frameworks, gender-lens investing, and sustainable financial practices, keeping abreast of regulations, market developments, and emerging trends
- Proven ability to develop financial strategies with strong analytical and quantitative skills
- An existing professional network in the Indonesian banking and financial services sector preferred
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is highly desirable.
