About the Role

IIX is seeking a Consultant – Impact Advisory, Assessment & MEL to lead the impact evaluation for a multi-year program focused on maternal health, financial literacy, and community development. This role will develop and implement a robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) framework to assess program effectiveness and guide data-driven decision-making.

The consultant will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to design evaluation methodologies, collect and analyze data, and produce high-quality impact reports. This is a short-term contract with the opportunity for extension.

Key Responsibilities

The Consultant – Impact Assessment & MEL will be responsible for:

  • Developing and refining an impact evaluation framework aligned with global best practices.
  • Designing quantitative and qualitative data collection tools, including surveys, focus groups, and key informant interviews.
  • Conducting impact data analysis to assess program outcomes over time.
  • Producing high-quality reports, including baseline, interim, and final impact assessments.
  • Ensuring adherence to ethical data collection, privacy, and confidentiality standards.
  • Engaging with program stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Identifying insights to support program improvement and scalability.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • High-quality and timely delivery of evaluation frameworks, data collection tools, and reports.
  • Effective engagement with program stakeholders to ensure clarity of impact objectives.
  • Compliance with data protection and ethical standards in all aspects of impact evaluation.

Qualifications & Requirements

✅ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Development, Public Health, Economics, Social Sciences, or related fields. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

✅ Experience:(5+ years preferred):

  • Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E): Experience designing and implementing MEL frameworks for development programs.
  • International Development: Experience working with foundations, non-profits, corporate foundations, or donor agencies.
  • Gender & Social Impact: Familiarity with gender-lens investing, women’s empowerment initiatives, and community-based interventions.
  • Nutrition & Health Programs: Experience in maternal health, child development, or food security impact assessments.
  • Fieldwork Experience: Previous experience conducting evaluations in emerging markets, particularly in Asia-Pacific, is highly desirable.
